The Brave's Handbook: Guild Rules
The code of conduct one must follow to be a brave.Brave.
A Braveheart must be brave. They must be willing, nay, eager to face danger and overcome challenge. The Adventurer's creed is to go where none else dare tread, to explore what still remains a mystery. We will not be tied down by rules or regulations, and do what is necessary to keep the Band alive- and at the frontier.
OOC: RP a fitting character.
Purely in-character rule. With the new rulings of Chief Rinoi, the band’s steadfast allegiance to the Alliance has slackened somewhat. We will not blindly follow the ideals or orders of the Alliance any longer, but instead carve out our own path. Be warned though, we are not without morals- and Bravery is still praised above backstabbing and other nefarious practices.
Responsible.
A Braveheart is responsible for their own actions. If they get into trouble with the law, it is their own fault unless proven otherwise. If a fellow Brave is injured due to another Brave's equipment, spellcraft or other, it is the fault of the owner of the equipment or spellcraft's negligence, unless proven otherwise. A Braveheart admits to their mistakes, and strives to improve on them!
OOC: Be mindful of your actions, there may be consequences.
Band membership does not provide immunity to the consequences of your actions or those of other role-players and guilds. We might be wacky, but acting in severe ways has consequences. Be aware of what you do and how it might play out!
Helpful.
A Braveheart is helpful to their peers. They are always ready to lend them a hand, be it through partaking in a great adventure, by crafting them equipment or looking after their mighty steeds when they are ill.
OOC: RP with the Band!
Role-playing with fellow members of the guild is the reason we’re a Band!
Respectful.
A Braveheart respects their peers, and will seek to be courteous to all. We are no vagabonds, despite sometimes looking a bit shaggy. Braves will refrain from using course language, and will be held responsible for any fights they pick.
OOC: Be courteous and do not use excessive foul language
The excessive use of rude or offensive language will not be tolerated, in- or out-of-character. Be courteous in guild-chat; if you have nothing positive to say, say nothing at all. If your character does curse excessively IC, do so with creativity- not foul words.
Experienced.
The Band is always at the frontier, exploring new lands, finding treasure and fighting foes. The frontier is not for the faint of heart, so all who travel with us must be able to hold their own, even if they are non-combatants.
OOC: Be level 90+
A member of the Band must be at least level 90, and in possession of Warlords of Draenor. We seek adventure, and adventure is found at the frontier. Right now, the frontier is in Draenor.
Active.
The Braves of the Band have autonomy to strike out on their own from time to time, but absence from the main group for too long will see them struck from the main roster.
OOC: Be an active member.
Bravehearts who have been inactive for longer than a month will be demoted to Companion. Characters that have been offline for longer than two months will be kicked from the guild. This keeps the guild roster honest and a good representation of how the guild is.
Prepared.
A Braveheart is always prepared to go on an Adventure, or defend themselves. They keep their own gear in good, fighting shape, and they make sure they have a use-able mount at all times, be it a steed, a spell or a contraption.
OOC: Be ready for combat in contested territory.
A Brave must have a mount, and their best set of gear transmogged for use in Role-Play in Contested Territory. The Horde and NPC's don't back down if you're writing a nice emote.
Discrete.
Braves may get up to the strangest things in their spare time. Some of such things may be frowned upon by their comrades, or by the world at large. We do not judge, provided it is discretely kept in private.
OOC: A notice on ERP and privacy.
This rule is a policy regarding ERP (Erotic roleplay), although it can be expanded to other sensitive subjects too. If things get R+ rated in your roleplay, it is required they are kept in private channels.
