[Event] Saving Private Giggles - recap

On Saturday the tenth the Braves returned to Arak due to Harold turning the boat around overnight, so he could go find his lost companion, a fire elemental called Giggles.

Arriving at Pinchwhistle Gearworks the Braves quickly met one of the goblin executive CEO's who demanded a tremendous fee to be paid to cover the costs for removing and breaking down of a double-parked shredder and for the environmental damage caused by the elemental. Since the Braves didn't have that much money, the goblin boss commanded his assistant to gather some bruisers so he could force the Braves to help him with a dangerous shipment. The Braves asked the goblin permission to discuss this over, which he granted, but instead the Braves made a plan to escape. Tygos noticed most goblin bruisers looked pretty wasted, and Kastarn took advantage of this by creating decoy bodies and a purple dust cloud to cloak Rinoi, Tygos, Kastarn, Alekszander and Harold of the Braves, so they could escape. After leaving the town behind them, they quickly stumbled upon a trail of scorched trees.

As the group escaped the goblin town, Aleks decided to play a disturbing prank on his friends by sinking into a grave and grabbing Kastarn, causing the latter to piss himself. After everyone gave Alekszander their respective angry glares, they continued on their quest. Somewhat further ahead on the road they stumbled upon a crying, fat dwarf who seemed to have lost his gryphon. Tygos, amazing as he is with the majestic beasts, came to the man's aid. But quickly the man turned his blades on the gryphon and the Band, revealing he is actually a poacher. Rinoi easily knocked out the dwarf by holding him down and pinching his nose a bit, allowing the band and their new gryphon friend, Beaky, to continue their journey.

Unaware they were being watched, the Braves searched for Giggles. A few members of the group noticed the rustling of leaves, and the air suddenly becoming chill so they advised the rest of the groups to hide. The Braves run up on a hill and took cover behind it. But unexpectedly Harold got brutally back stabbed by knives seemingly appearing out of thin air. Rinoi got hit too, although not as severe. Behind them were now three menacing Arakkoa assassins, who always focused their attacks on one person in unison. Jack, who came looking for his friends, joined the fight and together the Braves made quick work of them, leaving one of them alive as the creature surrendered.

Alekszander decapitated the surrendering bird with an unexpected strike before turning his blades on his friends. The blades cackled and screamed as Aleks drove them down on his friends. Various Braves got wounded but Jack healed them quite easily. The Braves succeeded at beating him, due to Giggles arriving just in time, knocking Aleks out with a huge fireball. Harold and Tygos insisted on killing Alekszander that very moment but Rinoi and Jack stopped them. Rinoi commanded everyone to get back to the boat, take Aleks with them and hear him out, causing Harold to become internally outrageous as he no longer trusted Aleks and refusing to join them. Tygos, Jack, Rinoi and an unconscious Aleks returned to the Candy Cabin (The Independence) and discussed the situation, as Harold set up camp in the mountains.

Somewhat later, Rinoi came back to find Harold causing her to stay the night at his camp out of what he assumed to be responsibility. In the morning, Harold woke her up, leaving while she was still groggy and left her some dried fruit for breakfast and a note saying "I've made my decision. I quit. If fate demands so, we will meet again."

To add something, a while after rin left the boat tygos took the reins on beaky and flew off not wanting to be on the same boat as honor questioners and betrayers
